It's VE Day this Friday, and a lot of effort has gone into organising a Wincanton event that observes advice on dealing with the current situation. Everyone is invited to host a concurrent 'Wincanton 75 Stay at Home' street party in their own garden to celebrate.

Wincanton food producer The Flavourworks has donated surplus high-risk coats to the NHS in Somerset to help with the PPE shortage during the coronavirus crisis. The Director of Quality and Nursing for the Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group wrote a letter in response.

Wincanton’s second annual book festival took place on Saturday 7th March, involving several High Street venues including Wincanton Library. Local authors attended to meet visitors, give talks, and entertain the children. Roll on next year!
