Wincanton's Cale Park now has a measured 1km running route
A 1km route has been mapped out which you can walk, jog or run, and it's also suitable for wheelchairs and buggys. There are directional stickers on posts along the route, and a map sign at the start point.

Children from Horsington Church Primary School processed 14 silhouettes, representing the 14 Horsington and South Cheriton soldiers lost to WW1, from Horsington War Memorial to St John’s Church on Friday 9th November.

On Friday 9th November, St John’s Church will hold a memorial service for our fallen heroes of WW1, during which a contingent of soldiers and veterans will march 14 life-size silhouettes from the war memorial to the Church.

On Wednesday 24th October, a lorry delivering to the Wincanton branch of Travis Perkins left a trail of white emulsion paint all around the town, starting on the Dyke's Way roundabout opposite the A303 junction.

The Poppy of Honour 2018 WWI memorial recently unveiled in Cale Park, Wincanton, has been damaged. The steel structure is double-glazed on both sides, and the two panes on one side have been fractured.
