Saskia's Flower Essences
I’m delighted that so many of you have already visited my small flower essence shop at the end of the Applegarth Emporium since I opened last year. As far as I know, this is the first shop of its kind in the UK where you can come and buy flower essences from the person who has made them.
Our Myakka, now art in Devon
The Myakka warehouse outlet in Wincanton has now closed, but that's not the end of its story. Myakka is now part of the Ian Snow family, an ethical homewares company based in Devon, and founders Georgie Hopkins and Simon Whitehead couldn't be happier.

Susie, a bright and very beautiful Citroen HY van, is 50 years old, but she's been given a new lease of life as a travelling cheese shop. You can sniff us out somewhere in the Wincanton Memorial Hall car park every Thursday!

Hate Your Wardrobe? Help is at hand in the form of a new, monthly clothes swap shop launching Saturday 13th July. It's a new initiative by the Bootmakers Workshop aimed at women of all ages who seek guilt-free shopping for next to nothing.
Myakka fills funding GAPS for local support group
The latest community group to benefit from the Myakka Grassroots Fund is Wincanton-based Guardian and Adoptive Parental Support (GAPS), to whom Myakka representatives recently presented a cheque for £2,500 at one of their Balsam Centre meetings.

Morrisons in Wincanton is currently closed due to an alleged water leak. There was a growing tailback of vehicles from the site entrance out beyond the roundabout. UPDATE: They're open again.
Farewell my darling Clementina
