Greening the Earth - Zac's new gallery in Wincanton
A stunning new art gallery has opened in Wincanton High Street in the 18th century building that was Clementina. It is the result of co-operation between the property’s owner, Nicholas Cave, and artist Zac Greening.
Man grows food in car
It’s a curious sight, when you come around the last bend on the long driveway of a Somerset country residence. A 9 foot high wooden sculpture of a man filling a Saab convertible with soil, and growing tomatoes, potatoes, courgettes and mint in it.

Wincanton Art Trail opens this Saturday 21st September, coinciding with Somerset Art Weeks. Schools, community groups, and local artists have collaborated to produce unique installations that will turn the town into a temporary art gallery.

Over the summer, three aspiring thespians, all members of Wincanton Youth Theatre, took their London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) Grade 2 acting exams, all achieving a distinction; the highest grade.
Wincanton Silver Band - bringing music to the local community
In 2020, Wincanton Silver Band will be celebrating 130 years of music-making in Wincanton. On Sunday 22nd September, the band is holding a “Meet the Band” event at which you can have a go at playing some of the instruments and listen to a short concert from the band.
