The brand new Chat Cafe started at the Balsam Centre last month, resulting from the Good Stuff project's public consultation earlier in the year. Every other Monday it provides an opportunity to come together and socialise in a warm, friendly, low-pressure environment.

SSDC has opened three dedicated employment and skills hubs that offer free tailored support to all South Somerset residents aged 16+. Known as ‘Opportunities Hubs’ they are based in Chard and Yeovil Libraries and Wincanton’s Balsam Centre.

Ever since Wincanton's Repair Cafe began, one particular item has got everybody talking! An 87-year-old ventriloquist’s dummy who goes by the name of Hon. Kenneth Tollington. The next Cafe is on Saturday 22nd January.

Wincanton Remembers 2021
On Sunday 14th November, a parade, starting from the Memorial Hall and led by the Wincanton Silver Band, will walk down the High Street to the Parish Church of St Peter & St Paul, followed by a one-hour Service of Remembrance.
